WHY I BECAME A FIREFIGHTER:
I grew up around Firefighters, and was a fire lookout before moving to Moab. Becoming a Firefighter myself was the next logical step. Firefighting is a great way to serve a community I love. It carries with it both a lot of responsibility and a great deal of prestige and honor.

Although fire prevention is often overlooked, it is one of the most important tasks for the fire service. I'm glad to be part of an agency which understands this and rises to the challenge of public education and safety. And, yes, a bicycle is a great personal response vehicle!
