

Firefighter Of The Year (09/10) Stephen Key
This year’s recipient is firefighter Stephen Key, a two-year veteran with the Moab Valley Fire Protection District (MVFPD). Stephen joined the Moab volunteer fire department in 2007 as a junior firefighter at the age of 16.
Stephen Key resides in Moab Utah and looking to further his role in the community as a volunteer for the Moab Valley Fire District.
Stephen was born in Moab in 1990 and grew up in the Moab valley attending Grand County schools and graduating from Grand County High School in 2009.
Stephen is an employee for Key’s Construction, a family owned business and K-Sue Construction driving trucks and heavy equipment.
Stephen is very involved in fire department activities and in his free time Stephen likes to go hunting, fishing, camping and exploring the backcountry with friends and family. Stephen is always willing to help his friends and his community whenever asked.
Stephen has served as a junior firefighter and is now our youngest certified firefighter on the department.
Stephen’s dedication, loyalty, and hard work have earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and the prestigious award of 2009 MVFPD Firefighter of the Year.
